Narrative

Adult Foster Care offers a choice to residential care for members who require supervision or help with bathing, hygiene, walking, transferring, eating, or dressing.

Adult Foster Care allows a family member or friend to provide 24-hour care for qualified members in their own homes. Caregivers receive a tax-free payment for their services, to help with the burden of care.

The Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) program is a MassHealth program that provides personal care services in either a community or assisted living setting to people who are elderly and/or disabled. GAFC provides help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), nursing oversight and care management.
