Narrative

We aid people with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as help with mobility in bed and transferring, walking both in and out of the home, help with getting dressed, eating, toileting, bathing as well as personal hygiene.

We also support Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) such as helping make meals, doing light housework, managing meds, phone use, helping with grocery shopping, and rides to medical appointments.

To be eligible for our Group Adult Foster Care (GAFC) programs at Quality Care GAFC, you must: 

  • Be 22 years old or older
  • Have MassHealth Standard, Network, Neighborhood, CommonHealth, Fallon, or Commonwealth Care Alliance
  • Reside in the state of Massachusetts
  • Need daily supervision, cueing, encouragement, reminders, and/or one-person assistance with activities of daily living such as mobility in bed, transferring, ambulation, bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and/or personal hygiene.
  • Be approved by your doctor
  • Be screened and approved for the program by your health insurance

Services include set-up, arrangement, management, cueing, supervision, reminders, or one-person physical assistance with the following activities:

  • Meal preparation
  • Ordinary housework
  • Finance
  • Phone use
  • Food and household items shopping
  • Transportation to doctor’s appointments
  • Eating
  • Dressing
  • Toileting
  • Personal hygiene
  • Bathing
  • Medication Reminders
